It was a fun week this past week. We had a very generous offering for hurricane relief at church on Sunday so since I am "Disaster Coordinator", I had to spend the money where it would do the most good. I had two hard working ladies shop for towels, washcloths, bath soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, nail files and band-aids. They came back with enough to make 200 "Health Care Kits" in accordance with UMCOR's specifications. We delivered those and have completed shopping to put together 400 more this week.

I had a "Community First Aid" class to teach on Friday from noon to 5:00 and went to a dive rescue class from 6 to 8 p.m.

I also had to pick up left over produce, bread and cakes from Food Lion and deliver them to the Food Pantry each day this week.

Yesterday, we had a sailboat race but the wind was too strong and gusty, I dumped and went swimming and the race was called off.
