Hurricane Katrina
With all of the homeland security money that the federal goverment has spent and all of the promotional education that they have done, wouldn't you think that we could have been better prepared for the overwhelming disaster that has just occurred?
Wouldn't it have been easier and more cost effective to evacuate New Orleans two days before the hurricane than two days after the hurricane?
And what about collecting 10,000 people in under one roof directly in the path of the storm? The Superdome was not a well planned move. I was always taught that in the face of danger, people normally need to disperse!
Lets hope that both the leadership and each citizen of this country pay better attention and take pre-planning for disasters more seriously.
