Angie's Birthday Party
I was able to pull off a surprise birthday party for Angie a week after her actual birthday. I rented the game room at the North Clubhouse, Invited 9 couples, bought a 6 foot long Subway Sandwich, and a 10 X 14 inch Dairy Queen low fat ice cream cake. I had no way that I could fake an invitation somewhere so I just crossed my fingers and watched the calendar to make sure that she didn't make any committments for Saturday evening. I finally had to tell her that I had to run some errands after lunch Saturday and wouldn't you know it, she wanted to come along. I told her that it wouldn't work and I talked her out of it. At that time, I told her that I had supper taken care of and that she didn't have to think about that. I finally had her stumped! She didn't figger it out until we walked in the door and I wished her a happy birthday.Everything worked out well. The 6 foot long sub sandwich was delicious and I don't have to tell you that the ice cream cake was good.
